Honorable Aleem Siddiqui M. Guiapal is the Bureau Director of the Muslim Economic Affairs of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, Office of the President, Republic of the Philippines. His flagship program called NCMF Investment Forum gained international support both from public and private sectors. Recently, he was honored by the HRD Asia awards and conferred by Y.A. Bhg. Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Prime Minister of Malaysia for His Contribution to Society.

 

He is also the Founder of the iInvestforum. The forum is a strategic avenue for social entrepreneurship. He envisioned it as a model of engaging available business opportunities and development initiatives between corporate, government, and civic sectors and an online hub for matching proposals, projects, and programs with funders, donors, and investors. Partnerships developed within the IInvest Forum are sustained through network care and follow-up and through www.iinvestforum.com.

 

He also founded AG Consulting that currently do research in the development of Shariah Banking facilities in the Philippines. He has actively campaign to support said initiative to promote better access of shariah compliance financial capital in the southern Philippines. He has engaged support from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, the Asian Institute of Management Kelab Malaysia and the Tabung Haji Theta Edge among others.

 

He started his career in the Philippine government mentored by a Congressman and a cabinet secretary in his capacity as legal researcher at the House of Representatives and legal officer at the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

 

Aleem is an alumnus of the Asian Institute of Management. He was recently cited as one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims of 2012 (Economic Development) by the RISSC. He was awarded Ten Outstanding Muslim Youth (TOMY) in 2008 and cited as the First Filipino Paper Presenter at the Harvard Conference, Harvard Project for Asia and International Relations (HPAIR 2009), Boston, MA. He is a proud recipient of the Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program, Rocca Fund Fellowship (The Asia Foundation), Bursary Place at the Resource Alliance (United Kingdom) and British Bilateral Program (BBP) Fund of the British Embassy Manila.

 

Aleem holds a masters degree in development management, international certificate in enterprise development and resource mobilization and a degree in political science and law.
